Description
Mbagathi County Referral Hospital, formerly known as the Mbagathi District Hospital, is a health facility run by the county government of Nairobi. When it was founded in the 1950s, it was known as the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) and served as the infectious diseases isolation facility for the King George VI Hospital, now Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH). It wasn't until 1995 when the hospital acquired autonomy from KNH to become a fully-fledged district hospital for the Nairobi City.
