The facility is part of the Jumuia Hospitals which are owned and run by the multi-denominational Christian organization the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK). The other branches include the Jumuia Friends Hospital in Kaimosi, the outpatient and diagnostic clinic in Kakamega and a planned teaching and referral facility in Limuru.
