Consolata Hospital Mathari is a faith-based health facility located in Nyeri that was founded as a small dispensary by the Consolata Missionaries from northern Italy in 1938. The hospital is currently owned and managed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri.

December 28, 2023 at 2:18 pmThis is the medical shopping center, I would not recommend to anyone.
Here is why:
1. We had midnight emergency, before anything we were charged 1300 for Covid-19 test, we were told it is mandatory (it is not in nairobi). No results came thru,just words.
2. At 3:00 a.m. Night doctor told us CT scan operator will be available at 8.
Since the patient was in pain and in need of a bed, we decided to get admitted (20k and useless drips of vitamins)
3. At 8 we were told CT opens at 10:00am.
4. At 12:00 we found out that NO ONE CAN READ CT. All results of blood tests can not be read as well and have to be sent to NAIROBI.
At this point we demanded release. But (bear with me) James Masharia and three other doctors insisted on LUMBAR PUNCTURE. Patient had NO symptoms of meningitis. They were very persistent with it what makes me believe they do medical trainings on patients.
5. If we didn’t leave patient would gone thru unnecessary pain and potential paralysis (because doctors at this hospital are NOT professionals).
Save your life and life of your beloved – take a taxi to a better hospital with doctors, not butchers.

April 2, 2024 at 8:38 pmPatients are taken advantage of in this hospital, I had the worst experience here. Unprofessional staff everywhere, only one nurse who seemed helpful and cared about the patients. They are also in money making business here and will over charge you for everything, my heart is sad for patients who end up here.
